The West African Examination Council (WAEC) on Sunday
debunked speculations that release date for the May/June 2017
West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE)
results may be extended.
The exam body confirmed that the results were ready and would be
released on Wednesday July 19 by the Head of the Nigeria
National Office, Mr Olu Adenipekun.
This was made known in a series of tweets by the council, via its
Twitter [email protected]
“There will be a Press Briefing by the Head of National Office to
announce the release of the results on or before Wednesday, July
19, 2017.
“This is our results-checking site”
“Scratch cards can be obtained at any WAEC office near you, cyber
cafes, business centers, etc.”
Reacting to a question by @baniyamin9 on school​s that may have
their results withheld, WAEC responded: “We will get to know that
during the Press Briefing to announce the release of the results.”
